- 3 tablespoons malt vinegar
- 6 ounces butter
- 18 ounces all-purpose flour
- 18 ounces currants
- 9 ounces raisins
- 9 ounces soft brown sugar
- ½ pint milk (warmed)
- 1 teaspoon baking soda (level)
- 3 tablespoons malt vinegar
