Chocolate and Walnut Biscuits

Introduction

This is just is simple yummy recipe, not too sweet..so you dont feel so bad eating more than one :)

Ingredients

Serves: 24

  • 250 millilitres flour
  • 250 millilitres granulated sugar
  • 250 millilitres coconut
  • 188 millilitres chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 113 grams butter
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Method

  • Pre heat oven to 180°C. Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and egg, mix.
  • Sift in flour, cocoa and baking powder. Add in rest of dry ingredients.
  • Roll into balls, and place on lined baking tray, and flatten with a fork.
  • Place in oven and bake for 15 - 20 mins, or until firm.
  • Place on cooling rack, and place in airtight container once cooled. Ice if you wish, with a plain chocolate icing. Enjoy
