My Figs

These are freshly picked figs from tree.


Serves: 4-6

  • 20 fresh figs
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons orange blossom water (or rosewater)
  • 12½ cups lemon juice


My Figs is a community recipe submitted by Raha Lane and has not been tested by so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • In a small heavy bottom pot, on medium heat, mix figs, sugar, orange blossom water, or rose water and lemon juice.
  • Place a lid on and bring the fruit to bubble. Let it simmer gently for 10 minutes or until thickened and soft. Let cool.
  • Serve in tall glass jars along with whipped cream, whipped mascarpone, fresh berries, candied walnuts, candied pecans, and apricot jams for a fabulous dessert.
  • Additional Information

    Fresh figs make a great side dish for Thanksgiving Turkey because figs are available in November.
