Banilla Icecream

Gorgeous banana and vanilla icecream (the name says it all!!)


Serves: a tub

  • 3 bananas (very ripe, mashed)
  • 188 millilitres soft dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 500 millilitres heavy cream
  • 250 millilitres milk
  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract


Banilla Icecream is a community recipe submitted by samball and has not been tested by so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

You will need an ice cream maker (if not then you'll have to put into a container and take out of the freezer every hour or so and whisk until it is separated enough).

  • Beat the eggs until pale, add sugar and keep whisking until it is smooth and glossy.
  • Then add the vanilla and cream and milk and whisk until thoroughly combined.
  • Switch on your ice cream maker and pour in. When it has churned and has become thick and icecreamy, add the mashed bananas and churn for a further couple of minutes.
  • store in container and freeze. remember to take it out of the freezer for ten minute or so before you eat to allow it to soften and for the flavours to escape. Absolutely divine!!
