Ingredients

Metric Cups
  • 500 grams flour (white)
  • 210 grams butter
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 20 grams yeast
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • marmalade
  • icing sugar
  • 18 ounces flour (white)
  • 7 ounces butter
  • 2 ounces sugar
  • 1 ounce yeast
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • marmalade
  • confectioners' sugar

Method

  • Put the yeast in a cup together with warm milk and leave it for about 5 minutes.
  • In the meantime, put all the other ingredients in a bowl and stir them together well.
  • Add the yeast and milk and knead the dough for a few minutes until all the ingredients are well connected. Let the dough rest for an hour at room temperature.
  • Then roll out the dough and cut it into small squares (about 4x4cm). Put some marmalade on each square and roll each square.
  • Put them on the baking tin and bake them at 200 degrees C for around 10 minutes or until they are golden brown. Cool the cookies and then powder them with some powdered sugar.
