East Peasy Cheese Sauce for Broccoli and or Cauliflower

Introduction

I use this recipe to liven up left over cauliflower and broccoli. It is quick and easy.

Ingredients

Serves: A 1 pint packet makes enough s

  • cauliflowers
  • broccoli
  • 1 packet bread sauce mix
  • milk (to make up the bread sauce mix)
  • 1 butter (for greasing)
  • 4 ounces mature cheddar

Method

  • Take an oven proof dish and lightly grease it with a little butter
  • Place the leftover cauli and broccoli in the dish
  • Take a small milk pan and pour in 3/4 of the required milk and mix. Cook as per pack instructions
  • When ready stir in the cheddar, and pour over the cauli and broccoli and ensure that it is all covered
  • Sprinkle over the remaining cheese and bake until golden (approx 15 - 20 mins)
  • Additional Information

    Adjust the size and amount of packets of sauce mix, to suit your family and the amount of left overs. My family and I love this with hot new potatoes, salad and fish .
