Our answer

Nigella's Old-Fashioned Sandwich Loaf (from COOK, EAT, REPEAT) is a soft, white bread that is enriched with soured milk and butter, or sour cream. It requires very little kneading, so is easy to make.

Nigella mentions in the introduction to the recipe that it is possible to veganise the bread. Simply replace the spoilt milk with a plant-based plain yogurt and use a plant-based margarine instead of the butter. Make sure that the yogurt doesn't have any added sugar, as some of them are naturally slightly sweeter than regular yogurt anyway.
