Our answer

Nigella's Clementine Cake (from HOW TO EAT) is a gluten-free cake made with whole, cooked clementines, eggs, sugar and ground almonds. Ground almonds are bleached (skinned) almonds that have been finely ground.

Almond flour is the same as ground almonds, made from skinned, ground almonds, and can be used for the cake in the same quantities. Almond meal is made from skin-on (raw) almonds that are finely ground. We have also successfully made the cake with almond meal and you can also use this, in the same quantities, instead of ground almonds, particularly as in some countries almond meal is easier to find in supermarkets and a slightly more economical alternative.
