Our answer

Nigella's Tropical Chocolate Cake (from FEAST is a moist chocolate cake made with drained, canned pineapple rings. The pineapple needs to be crushed or chopped finely before it is added to the other cake ingredients so it is easiest to do this in a food processor. As you are already using the food processor it is then easiest to add the remaining ingredients and process to make the cake batter.

If you don't have a food processor then you could puree the pineapple with a liquidiser or hand blender, adding the eggs, Malibu (or juice from the pineapple) and cream cheese to make this a little easier. To make the cake batter, sift the dry ingredients together, stir in the sugars and finally stir in the puree.
