The Jumbo Chilli Sauce sounds awesome. Will it last longer if I add vinegar for preservation and added flavour?
Jumbo Chilli Sauce (from KITCHEN) is a fresh sauce made with roasted red peppers, chillies, garlic, coriander and oil. Once it has been made it should be kept refrigerated and used within a week. If you want to add a little vinegar then red wine vinegar would be a good option, however we would not add too much as it will affect the taste of the sauce and this amount of vinegar will not lengthen the keeping time of the sauce.
If you want to store the sauce for longer then we would suggest freezing it in airtight containers for up to 3 months. Thaw the sauce overnight in the fridge before using. However the sauce may lose a little of its brightness and flavour once it has been frozen and thawed.
