Ingredients

Metric Cups
  • 210 grams butter
  • 100 grams cocoa powder
  • 300 grams sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon best vanilla extract
  • 115 grams flour
  • 100 grams cherries
  • 7 ounces butter
  • 4 ounces unsweetened cocoa
  • 11 ounces sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon best vanilla extract
  • 4 ounces flour
  • 4 ounces cherries

Method

Cherry Brownies is a community recipe submitted by *cookie* and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • Melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove, but make sure it melts slowly, so it doesn't burn.
  • In the meantime, sift (separately) the cocoa powder and the flour.
  • Whisk the cocoa powder in the melted butter, until smooth. Gradually add sugar and stir well. Add eggs, one at a time and whisk until smooth. Add vanilla and stir. After that, slowly add the flour, and, when it's all incorporated, add the cherries to the batter.
  • Turn on the oven at 180ºC and let it heat up a bit before putting the brownie batter in, and then bake for about 30-35 min, or until done.
