Chocolate Pecan Pie

Ingredients

Serves: Eight generous pieces.

Metric Cups
  • 1 pastry case (9")
  • 250 millilitres light corn syrup (or dark)
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 125 millilitres sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ⅛ teaspoon almond extract
  • 170 grams pecan nuts (halves)
  • 113 grams chocolate chips (bittersweet)
  • 1 pastry case (9")
  • 1 cup light corn syrup (or dark)
  • 3 medium eggs
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ⅛ teaspoon almond extract
  • 6 ounces pecan nuts (halves)
  • 4 ounces chocolate chips (bittersweet)

Method

  1. Preheat over to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Mix corn syrup, eggs, sugar, butter, vanilla and almond extract until well combined.
  3. Mix in the pecans and chocolate chips.
  4. Pour mixture into pastry shell.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 60 minutes, or until softly set.

Additional Information
