Introduction

Guys, I wanted to share with you my cornmeal cake on my way let me know what do you think about it ;)

Ingredients

Makes: 30 small pieces

  • 375 millilitres cornmeal
  • 375 millilitres all-purpose flour
  • 188 millilitres vegetable oil
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 250 millilitres superfine sugar
  • 250 millilitres plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon orange oil
  • 1 sprinkling of sesame seeds (a handful)

Method

My Cornmeal Cake is a community recipe submitted by dolce fragola and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • With the electric mixer beat the sugar with the oil then add the eggs one by one then add the orange oil.
  • Then beat until all the sugar dissolves and the mixture is a little bit creamy.
  • Then add the yogurt.
  • Whisk the dry ingredients together then add them to the batter spoon by spoon.
  • When all ingredients are incorporated spread the batter in the buttered baking pan then sprinkle the sesame seed over the top then bake in hot oven 250 degree for 45 mins or until the bake tester comes out clean from the center.
