Ingredients

Serves: 10-20

Metric Cups
  • 100 grams margarine (or unsalted butter)
  • 75 grams soft light brown sugar
  • 30 millilitres maple syrup
  • 175 grams self-raising flour
  • 100 grams chocolate chips
  • 30 millilitres milk
  • 3½ ounces margarine (or unsalted butter)
  • 2⅔ ounces soft light brown sugar
  • 1 fluid ounce maple syrup
  • 6⅙ ounces self-rising flour
  • 3½ ounces chocolate chips
  • 1 fluid ounce milk

Method

  • Preheat oven to 180°C/Gas mark 4. Grease 2 baking trays.
  • Beat together sugar and marg until light and fluffy. Stir in the syrup, flour, choc chips and milk. Mix well.
  • Roll spoonfuls between your hands and flatten onto baking try, leaving room to for them to spread. Bake for 8-10 min.
  • Remove from tray and place on wire rack to cool.
