Ingredients

Serves: 1 cake

Metric Cups

For the Cake

  • 75 grams dark chocolate
  • 100 grams butter
  • 1½ tablespoons caster sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • ¾ tablespoon flour
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder

For the Filling

  • 1½ tablespoons apricot jam

For the Filling 2

  • 3 tablespoons cream
  • 3 tablespoons baileys
  • 1 tablespoon caster sugar

For the Topping

  • 100 grams almonds (chopped)
  • 3 tablespoons kahlua
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • 20 raspberries
  • dark chocolate (flakes)

For the Cake

  • 2⅔ ounces bittersweet chocolate
  • 3½ ounces butter
  • 1½ tablespoons superfine sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • ¾ tablespoon flour
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder

For the Filling

  • 1½ tablespoons apricot jam

For the Filling 2

  • 3 tablespoons cream
  • 3 tablespoons baileys
  • 1 tablespoon superfine sugar

For the Topping

  • 3½ ounces almonds (chopped)
  • 3 tablespoons kahlua
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • 20 raspberries
  • bittersweet chocolate (flakes)

Method

Cake of Bailey`s is a community recipe submitted by nica and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • Melt the chocolate. Wisk sugar and fat fluffy and white. Add the eggs during whisking one at the time. Mix in the (melted) chocolate and the (mixed) flour and baking powder.
  • Pour the mix in a buttered and (put something in the tin????) its preferably to be about 18 cm in diam.</li><li>Bake in lover part of the oven 175C for about 50 min. Let the cake cool down. Split the cake and add the marmalade/jam on one layer. Wisk the cream thick add Baileys and sugar to it.
  • Smear out about 1/3 of it over the marmalade/jam and the rest around the whole cake and on top as well.
  • Mix the almond (chop??) with some of the Kahla enough to make it sticky and spread this around the cake.
  • Wisk the rest of the cream thick and add the rest of the Kahla and spritz it out over the cake. Decorate with raspberries and chocolate flakes.
