  • 2 bunches spring onions
  • 15 millilitres oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tin coconut milk
  • 800 millilitres water
  • 40 millilitres vegetable stock
  • 2 millilitres white pepper
  • 45 millilitres soy sauce
  • 15 millilitres caster sugar
  • 1 large red chilli (finely sliced)
  • 5 large bananas (ripe)
  • 2 bunches scallions
  • 1 fluid ounce oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tin coconut milk
  • 28 fluid ounces water
  • 1 fluid ounce vegetable broth
  • fluid ounce white pepper
  • 2 fluid ounces soy sauce
  • 1 fluid ounce superfine sugar
  • 1 large red chile (finely sliced)
  • 5 large bananas (ripe)

  • Heat the oil in a large pot.
  • Fry the onions and garlic gently.
  • Add the remaining ingredients except for one banana. Cook for five minutes.
  • Blend till smooth.
  • Add the last banana and blend.
  • Heat again gently; serve garnished with coriuander, lime and spring onion.
