Chicken Kebobs

In a large mixing bowl, mix grated onion, lemon juice, vegetable oil, saffron, seasonings, and yogurt. Marinate chicken pieces in the above mixture. Leave in the refrigerator to marinate over night or for a couple of hours. Brush oil on grill. Heat grill to medium high. Grill for 5-7 minutes on each side or until center of meat is cooked through and the edges are golden crisp. Serve on lavosh bread, with grilled tomatoes, radishes, fresh parsley, and lemon slices.

- 2 pounds chicken pieces (skinned and boned)
- 1 large grated onion
- 1 large lemon (juiced)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 pinch of saffron
- salt
- pepper
- turmeric
- ½ cup plain yogurt
