Ingredients

Serves: 6-8

Metric Cups
  • 125 grams digestive biscuits
  • 2 packets maltesers
  • 75 grams butter (soft)
  • 300 grams cream cheese
  • 60 grams icing sugar
  • 3 eggs (2 without the yolks and one with - keep the yolk of the 2 eggs in another bowl)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest
  • 250 millilitres sour cream
  • 4 ounces graham crackers
  • 2 packets malted milk balls
  • 3 ounces butter (soft)
  • 11 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 ounces confectioners' sugar
  • 3 eggs (2 without the yolks and one with - keep the yolk of the 2 eggs in another bowl)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest
  • 8⅘ fluid ounces sour cream

Method

Maltesers Cheesecake is a community recipe submitted by Sarakal and has not been tested by Nigella.com so we are not able to answer questions regarding this recipe.

  • Blitz the biscuits and one packet maltesers in a food processor until beginning to turn to crumbs, then add the butter and whiz again to make the mixture clump. Press this mixture into a 20cm springform tin; press a little up the sides to form a slight ridge.
  • Beat together the cream cheese, icing sugar, vanilla extract, sour cream, lemon zest and two eggs without the yolks and one egg with yolk in a bowl until smooth.
  • Lightly whip the egg yolks until they become like the cream, and then fold it into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Spoon the cheesecake filling on top of the biscuit base and smooth with a spatula.
  • Put the last packet of the maltesers on the top like shown in the picture and bake in the oven for 45 minutes to an hour.

    • My teenage daughters bought the ingredients for the malteser cheesecake ,followed the instructions to the letter then guess what bake in oven for 45mins, except no temp for oven given ,I don't bake so suggested 140 c in fan oven ,won't know results but I'm so cross do not print incomplete recipes ,prob in edible waste of money
