This is one of my ultimate favorites, and nobody makes it like my mom. TRY to leave a piece for tomorrow - its eve better the next day, eaten cold.

Ingredients

Serves: 2

Metric Cups
  • 250 grams macaroni
  • 100 grams bacon (diced)
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 small tomato
  • 250 millilitres white sauce (or cream with some thickener)
  • 375 millilitres Cheddar cheese
  • 9 ounces macaroni
  • 4 ounces bacon (diced)
  • 1 small onion

  • 8⅘ fluid ounces white sauce (or cream with some thickener)
  • 13⅙ fluid ounces Cheddar cheese

Method

  • Cook the macaroni al dente, drain and mix with half of white sauce and hand full of cheese.
  • In pan - sauté onion and bacon and lastly tomatoes in little olive (or vegetable) oil, mix with other half of white sauce.
  • Mix together and top with rest of cheese.
  • Bake in 180ºC oven till cheese begin to brown (±15min)
