Ingredients

Serves: 6 - 8

  • 907 grams garden green garbanzos (Chickpeas)
  • 1 butter (partially melted)
  • 454 grams cream cheese (full fat)
  • 907 grams cream (half fat)
  • 1¾ teaspoons sea salt
  • 500 millilitres vegetable broth (or chicken stock)
  • ½ teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon tabasco
  • 1 diced red onion
  • ¼ bunch chopped cilantro
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 63 millilitres water
  • adobo seasoning (to taste)

  • Use a food processor to puree garbanzos, butter, cream cheese, salt, cumin, red onion, & garlic.
  • Put in 6 quart saucepan and heat to boiling adding broth and fold in cilantro if desired. Season to taste.
  • Additional Information

    Can use fat free sour cream, cream cheese, or half and half for a wonderful flavor and texture.
