This month’s Cookalong is Nigella’s recipe for Devil’s Food Cake, a creation that is just perfect for Hallowe’en. It is a rich and dark layer cake, with a luscious icing that covers the whole cake. Do read Nigella’s advice in the additional notes and make the icing first if it helps - the gooey frosting becomes a bit firmer after an hour or so, making it better for your decorating. And, lastly, don’t hold back from giving the cake a Hallowe’en look that will give us a fright! It’s up to you.
