Hearty Creamy Pasta With Ham and Chicken

Very similar to Nigella's Pasta with peas and Ham but with a few more flavours and is even more filling!

Metric Cups
  • fettuccine
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 3 chicken thigh fillets (skinless)
  • 3 medium cooked ham (cut into chunks)
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 10 button mushrooms
  • ½ litre cream
  • parmesan cheese

Method

  • Cook Pasta as per Packet Instructions, After 5 minutes add you peas to the pasta. Once pasta and peas are cooked, drain and set aside.
  • In another pan fry chicken and chooped garlic in the oil for about 5 minutes. Then add Ham and fry for another 5 minutes. Add Mushroons and very slowly add enough cream to make everything look glossy, cook like that for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  • Add the rest of the cream and the fresh basil along with some seasoning of salt and pepper.
  • Pour pasta and peas into pot and pour other ingredients into the same pot, Toss and serve immediately topped with parmesean cheese along side some garlic bread.

    If you have any left over just store in the fridge, when re-heating, put pot on stove and as everything is heating through add milk to lubricate everything!
